01

Code of Conduct

Come as you are, and let everyone else do the same.

Worship in Denim is a Christian worship gathering open to everyone. We expect every attendee, volunteer, artist, vendor, partner and member of the media to treat others with dignity, kindness and respect.

We ask everyone to

  • Honour the purpose of the gathering: worship, prayer and community.
  • Respect people of every age, background, ethnicity, ability and denomination.
  • Follow reasonable instructions from stewards, security, volunteers and venue staff.
  • Look out for one another, and tell a team member if someone needs help.

Not tolerated

  • Harassment, intimidation, discrimination or unwanted physical contact of any kind.
  • Violence, threatening behaviour, or abusive language toward anyone, including staff.
  • Being under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances.
  • Unauthorised selling, fundraising, leafleting, recruitment or political campaigning.
  • Deliberately disrupting worship, ministry or other attendees.

We may refuse entry or ask anyone breaching this code to leave, without a refund. Where the law may have been broken, we will involve the police.

02

Dress Code

Denim is the invitation, not the entry requirement.

  • Wear denim in any form: jeans, jackets, shirts, skirts, dresses, overalls, accessories. Head to toe or just a touch.
  • Customised, patched, painted and thrifted pieces are encouraged.
  • Please dress modestly and respectfully; this is an all-ages worship gathering.
  • Clothing with offensive, hateful, sexual or gang-related slogans or imagery isn't permitted.
  • Wear comfortable, closed footwear. Parts of the venue may be standing-only.
  • Masks and face coverings for health or religious reasons are always welcome.

No one will be turned away for not wearing denim.

03

Safeguarding & Children

Children, young people and adults at risk must be safe with us. No exceptions.

Children & young people

  • Under-16s must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult (18+) at all times.
  • 16–17 year olds may attend independently, with a parent or guardian's emergency contact available.
  • Parents and guardians remain responsible for their children throughout the event, including in any family area.
  • Lost children: tell the nearest team member. The child will be taken to the Welcome Point and stay with two background-checked team members until reunited.

Our team

  • Volunteers working with children or adults at risk must have a current background check and complete safeguarding training.
  • No team member should be alone with a child out of sight of others.
  • Team members must not take or share photos of children except as part of the official media team, following our photography policy.
  • A named Designated Safeguarding Lead is on site for the whole event and can be found via any team member or the Welcome Point.

If you're worried about a child or adult's safety, speak to any team member immediately or see Raising a Concern. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

04

Tickets, Transfers & Refunds

Register for every person, including children, so we can keep the room safe.

  • Every attendee needs a valid ticket or registration, shown on a phone or printed, at entry.
  • Tickets may only be bought through our official ticketing link. Tickets from other sources may be refused.
  • Free tickets may be transferred by updating the name through your ticketing account. Paid tickets may be transferred up to 48 hours before doors.
  • Paid tickets are refundable up to 7 days before the event, minus any booking fee. After that, refunds are at our discretion.
  • Entry is first come, first served on the night. A ticket doesn't guarantee a particular seat or view, and late arrivals may be held until a suitable moment in the programme.
  • Re-entry is allowed with a valid wristband, subject to capacity.

If we cancel the event, every paid ticket is refunded in full. See Changes & Cancellation.

05

Entry, Bags & Prohibited Items

Travel light. Everything gets in faster.

  • Small bags only (roughly A4 size or smaller). All bags may be searched on entry.
  • There is no cloakroom unless one is announced. Don't bring anything you can't carry all night.
  • Sealed, empty refillable water bottles are welcome. Free water is available.

Not permitted

  • Weapons of any kind, or anything that could be used as one.
  • Alcohol, illegal substances or legal highs.
  • Glass, fireworks, flares, smoke canisters, confetti cannons or laser pens.
  • Professional cameras, tripods, drones or recording equipment without media accreditation.
  • Flags, banners or large signs with commercial or political messaging.
  • Animals, except assistance dogs.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside the venue. Prohibited items will be refused or confiscated, and anything illegal may be passed to the police.

06

Health & Safety

Look after yourself, and the people next to you.

  • Trained first aiders are on site throughout the event. Ask any team member or go to the Welcome Point.
  • Take note of emergency exits when you arrive. In an evacuation, follow instructions from stewards and staff calmly.
  • Worship can be loud. Ear protection is available on request and recommended for children.
  • The event may use haze, strobe and flashing lights. Let a team member know if you're photosensitive.
  • Stay hydrated, take breaks, and use the quiet space if you need to step away.
  • If you feel unwell with a contagious illness, please stay home and watch any stream we provide.

Attendance is at your own risk, and we're not responsible for lost or stolen property. Found items go to the Welcome Point. After the event, email us to claim them.

07

Accessibility

Everyone belongs in the room. Tell us what you need and we'll do our best.

  • We aim to provide step-free access, accessible toilets and accessible seating with clear sightlines.
  • A personal assistant or carer accompanying a disabled attendee gets a free ticket. Contact us to arrange this.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome.
  • A quiet space is available for anyone who needs a break from sound, light or crowds.
  • Lyrics are displayed on screen. Ask us in advance about BSL/sign interpretation or other support.

Contact hello@worshipindenim.com at least 7 days before the event so we can prepare.

09

Volunteers

You're representing Worship in Denim. Thank you for carrying that well.

  • Volunteers must be 18+, or 16–17 with written parent/guardian consent and placed on suitable teams only.
  • Volunteers attend a pre-event briefing or training, arrive on time for their shift and sign in and out.
  • Wear the issued volunteer tee or lanyard and keep it visible throughout your shift.
  • Kids & Family and Accessibility volunteers need a current background check and must follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
  • Volunteers may not consume alcohol before or during a shift, or sell, promote or recruit for other organisations.
  • Confidential information you see while serving (including prayer requests and personal details) stays confidential.
  • Volunteering is unpaid. Where provided, meals and refreshments are offered as thanks during your shift.

We may decline or withdraw a volunteer place where needed for safety or team fit. Apply to volunteer.

10

Vendors

A curated market that fits the night.

  • All vendors must apply and be accepted in writing. A place is confirmed when the pitch fee is paid and the vendor agreement is signed.
  • Products, signage and branding must be consistent with a family-friendly Christian worship event. We may ask you to remove items that aren't.
  • No alcohol, tobacco, vapes, weapons, counterfeit goods or adult content may be sold.
  • Vendors must hold current public liability insurance and provide a certificate before the event.
  • Food vendors must hold the relevant food hygiene registration or permit, display allergen information and follow local food safety rules.
  • Electrical equipment must be safety-tested. High-load equipment must be declared in advance.
  • Set-up and pack-down happen only at your allocated times. Stalls must stay staffed and open during the agreed trading hours.
  • Vendors are responsible for their own stock, cash and waste. Leave your pitch as you found it.
  • Pitch fees are refundable if we cancel. If you cancel more than 14 days before the event you get a 50% refund; after that, no refund.

Apply for a stall.

11

Partners & Sponsors

Shared values first, logos second.

  • We partner with churches, ministries, brands and organisations whose values are consistent with the event's Christian ethos and family-friendly character.
  • Partnership benefits, deliverables and fees are agreed in writing before any branding is used.
  • Partners may not use the Worship in Denim name, logo or footage without written approval.
  • Partnership does not include editorial control over the programme, ministry, line-up or message.
  • We may decline or end a partnership where association would conflict with our values or harm attendees' trust.

Start a partnership conversation.

12

Changes & Cancellation

If plans change, you'll hear it from us first.

  • Line-up, running order and timings are indicative and may change without notice. Changes to the line-up aren't grounds for a refund.
  • If the event is cancelled, paid ticket holders receive a full refund of the ticket price.
  • If the event is postponed or moves venue, tickets remain valid for the new date or venue, or you can request a refund within 14 days of the announcement.
  • We may delay, pause or end the event early for safety reasons, including severe weather or an emergency.
  • Updates are shared by email to ticket holders and on our social channels.
13

Privacy Notice

We collect only what we need, and we never sell it.

What we collect

  • Ticket details (name, email, number of attendees).
  • Application details you submit through our volunteer, vendor, media and partner forms, including emergency contacts and any access or medical needs you choose to share.
  • Photos and video captured at the event, as described in our photography policy.

How we use it

  • To run the event safely: admissions, rosters, accreditation, vendor planning and contacting you about the event.
  • To send updates about future events, but only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

How we look after it

  • Access is limited to the team members who need it. Sensitive information (medical and access needs, emergency contacts, background checks) is shared only with the people responsible for your safety.
  • We use trusted service providers (ticketing, forms, email) to process data on our behalf.
  • We delete application data within 12 months of the event unless you ask us to keep you on file for future events.

To access, correct or delete your data, email hello@worshipindenim.com.

14

Raising a Concern

If something isn't right, tell us. We'll listen and act.

  • During the event: speak to any team member, steward or the Welcome Point. Ask for the Designated Safeguarding Lead for any safeguarding concern.
  • Emergency: call your local emergency number first, then alert a team member.
  • After the event: email hello@worshipindenim.com with "Concern" in the subject line. We aim to respond within 5 working days.

Every concern is taken seriously and handled confidentially. Information is shared only where needed to keep people safe or where required by law.
